Laura's Story

A Journey of Healing & Hope

I was born into an environment of stress and control, abuse and uncertainty, anxiety and depression. As an empath and sensitive child, this environment was especially difficult as I carried these energies within me. By the time I reached elementary school, I struggled with severe pain in my knees that made it painful to walk up or down stairs or play. In middle school, depression began to take its hold on me and I began to have suicidal thoughts. These symptoms continued to build and by the time I reached my 20's, my anxiety was crippling and I relied heavily on alcohol to calm my mind and body pain. Over the next 10-15 years, the pain in my knees spread throughout my body. I struggled to get out of chairs and my car. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, depression, and anxiety.  

In 2019, I was at the end of my rope. I had been on medications for 15+ years and I felt terrible. I continued to struggle with suicidal thoughts. I didn't want to continue to live this way. 

I decided to try energy healing and scheduled an appointment with an amazing practitioner. I saw her several times over the next 6 months. During that time, I saw my depression and anxiety dramatically improve, the pain in my body diminished, and my spirits lifted. I was able to go off all medications. I found that I no longer craved alcohol to numb my pain. I was astonished by the results and began training with healers to begin my own practice so that I could give this gift of healing to others.

I am now a certified Energy Healer, Reiki Master, and Meditation Teacher. I am grateful for my journey of healing and I intend that my story brings you hope for your own journey. Sacred Soul is a reminder to us all that we are sacred beings of light and love.
